Buzzing around like a bee today making...
Lemon Fabric Softener
There is nothing nicer than fresh smelling, soft, clean washing.
Ok here is what you will need...
6 cups of vinegar
1 cup of water
1 cup of baking soda
15 drops of lemon or lemongrass essential oil
The you will need to...
Combine all ingredients in large glass lidded jar. Add 1 cup to the rinse cycle of each load for lovely lemon fresh clothes.
Char Sui Pork
This is a favorite dish in our house with both the adults and teens :] My step-daughter Rhiannon first introduced us to this dish and it fast became a much loved regular on the menu.
You will need...
500g diced pork
tin water chestnuts drained and sliced
2 large green cooking apples peeled and sliced
2 red onions sliced
Jar Char Sui Sauce (Asian food section Coles etc)
Pkt baby spinach
Pkt sesame seeds
I love this dish, it's lick ya lips delish. Combine pork with whole jar of Char Sui Sauce and coat meat. Marinate in fridge for two hrs. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a fry pan/wok add onions, apples and cook till softened. Remove and put on plate. Add another tablespoon of olive oil and stir fry the marinated pork. Return apple/onion to pan/wok, add chestnuts and baby spinach. Stir fry till cooked. Serve on bed of steamed rice or noodles and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
So moreish and so very simple to make...
Place 1 tin of sweetened condensed milk, 200g of white choc melts, 125g of butter chopped, 1 cup of brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of golden syrup into a large microwave safe bowl. Zap on high 100% power for 5-7 minutes, stirring twice in between. Remove from microwave. Stir in 1 cup of unsalted roughly chopped macadamia nuts and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence. Pour into a lined baking tray and place in fridge overnight. Cut into squares and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
