Heartpoet's work wound down for two weeks over Christmas/New Year. A fair portion of his time was spent with Brenton behind the wheel finishing off the required 100 learner hrs so that he can go for his P license. We plan on booking him in for another lesson or two through the driving school that he had lessons with early on just to polish his skills in readiness to go for his P license. With a pretty cool car of his own parked in the garage, a new job in his chosen profession, Apply First Aid Course (formerly known as Senior First Aid) successfully completed earlier this week, the recommencement of further study mid year, a circle of awesome mates and The Love Gods shining on him favorably with 'she who rules his heart" being introduced to both Heartpoet and I in recent weeks (pstttt she is gorgeous inside and out, has a great sense of humour, very easy going - thank you Gods!!) you could say that life for Brenton at present is pretty damn sweet! (well apart from some nasty viral bug doing the rounds that had him out of action for a week).
So for Heartpoet and I there was seemingly light at the end of the tunnel in regards to hanging up our Mum/Dad all hrs unpaid taxi service caps. But wouldn't ya know it, life is what happens when you are busy making other plans it would seem. Last night Brenton approached us in regards to "she who rules his heart" (whose Dad is serving our Country in Afghanistan) who has not had her L licence for long, enquiring whether Heartpoet could perhaps take her for driving lessons to help her accrue the required L hrs. Heartpoet is quite close to Brenton and loves that Brenton shares his life with him, including him in the goings on in his day to day life. They have a great easy rapport with one another and share a similar sense of humour. Heartpoet told Brenton that he wanted to check with me first if I was OK with the time commitment involved (given we are somewhat time poor with his crazy long work hrs) and if I was OK with it then he could not see why not. How could I not be OK with it! Given her Dad is away serving our Country seems like the least we could do really. Yup for sure it will mean I get to spend less time with Heartpoet over coming weeks however knowing that he has largely done this as a favor for our son (he baulks if I say my, as far as he is concerned Brenton is ours) makes my heart sing. So strictly between you and me when we finally do get to spend time together Heartpoet will be well rewarded ;] ;] Quality time indeed :]

What a good person you both are...just lovely..have fun rewarding him lol
Your family inspires me to make my home an even more loving place. Thanks.
You are both doing your bit for the country. Helping to raise good children into good adults is certainly part of that.
Gee, Brianna is nearly ready to come off her P licence altogether onto a full licence. In SA, after 1 year of P plates, you don't have to display them so that's good. We drive so many different cars that it's hard to keep up with where the P Plates are!
