Looking in

An email I received from Heartpoet prior to my relocation to Brisbane (from Melbourne) April 2001.

Sunday 18th February 2001

Hmm hey there Kim Nicole you wonderful woman,

It's 8.51pm I just got online and time is ticking away for us eh hehe yay...hmm here's something I just wrote so I thought I'd send it...a little third party reflection on today...

Looking in

Today on a wave accosted wind swept spanner bridge, just past the noonday dances, horse drawn waves, crested and oblique, he suddenly braked and brought the trip to a braking though faltering standstill. Within the swirling blue and foaming salt-thick air, he knew that his world had never felt the same. On the far lined edges of the world, bordered daisy yellow with the scent of bayside seagull screams, he craned to see a view - and there he found a heaven unsecured. "I love you Kim" he whispered with the raspy notes of old and golden violins. At that precise moment he gave himself and all he had ever witnessed to her, love torrential in the sunlight and the clouds. In life and traveled spanner bridges there are moments of absolute truth and wonder. Later on the day, past backyard cricket, squeals and smiling relatives, he lingered, images and wonders, a kiss remotely left, a wish upon her beating door. Life and love, this angel and her smile, a love that sweeps another Sunday afternoon.
