Water For Elephants and a belated Mothers Day gift

Knowing how much I love to read Heartpoet purchased me a copy of the book Water For Elephants when it was first released. We both ended up reading it and thoroughly enjoyed it. When we saw the trailer for Water For Elephants the movie we were both keen to see it. It was a last minute decision to go tonight with Heartpoet declaring spur of the moment that he was taking his honey to the movies tonight.

Many attempts to catch up with our Rhiannon have been thwarted lately. One thing after another has come up for either her or us. The latest cancellation was Monday just gone due to wet weather. She was due to come watch Brenton play touch footy with us but the game was cancelled due to torrential rain. So I mentioned to Heartpoet that perhaps it would be nice if she came with us to the movies and he agreed. So after a quick detour to pick Rhi up we set off arriving at the cinema with just enough time to hit the snack bar for popcorn, choc tops and drinks. After quickly selecting our seats we settled in for what was a fantastic movie. A movie that we would all highly recommend.

Rhi worked Mothers Day just gone and despite seeing Heartpoet at his place of work after Uni Wednesday she decided to hang on to the Mothers Day pressie and card she had for me preferring to give it to me in person. She totally blew me away with a carefully selected card filled with heart tugging gorgeous sentiments straight from her heart - made me tear up a tad.

Dear Kim

"Your soul is a beautiful butterfly touching all those who come in contact with you" (taken from a text I sent her)

Can you tell who wrote that?

Someone with a heart two sizes too big. Someone full of love and compassion. Someone I am very proud to know and love. Someone who deserves to be appreciated for all that they are!

Happy Mothers Day!

Have a wonderful day

With love

Your Rhiannon

There was also a pretty little box festooned with ribbons and inside was the most beautiful necklace. A chain with a pendant - two small rings (one inside the other, one being slightly larger) with a dainty delicate butterfly resting on each.

Rhiannon and I do not share chromosomes, but something wider, bigger. Rhiannon is a child of my heart. I could not love her more if I tried and she is most definitely mine~!
